About

Vidda Explorer AS was founded in 2023 with the purpose of offering intimate, guided experiences in Rjukan and the surrounding region. We primarily focus on small groups and individual day travellers, but we also undertake larger assignments and events upon request. In addition, we provide our guiding services throughout Norway and internationally.

Our certified nature guides are professionally trained to lead you safely into the wilderness, share the rich history of the area, ensure safety at all times, and safeguard the natural environment.

Intersport Rjukan – Supplying all our equipment needs, including new bicycles and high-quality snowshoes for our activities.

Our logo is inspired by Roald Amundsen’s expedition compass, which he brought with him to the South Pole (after training on the Hardangervidda plateau), as well as by the unique shapes and colours found in Telemark. The logo was designed by heimdaldesign.no.
