Bring the kids to Rjukan and we guarantee they will have some memories for life!

In Rjukan the children can be whisked up in "the air" by the cable car Krossobanen, and challenge themselves in climbing paths in Rjukan climbing park. Rjukan climbing park has perhaps Norway's roughest view with a view of the majestic Gaustatoppen. In winter, you can sled down Rye's road, which is 4 km path underneath the cable car, Krossobanen.

Rjukanbadet is a swimmingcomplex thas is a sure winner for the whole family. Here the children can swim both outside and inside, and the adults can relax in the wellness area.

Farm holidays are always popular with the family's little bosses. At our visitor farms Håvardsrud Seterliv, Selstali Seter and Bergstaulen Seter, the children can take part in farm life and get to know the animals through cuddles and care.

For those who like to be active in nature, the hiking trails Solstien and Oldemorstien are specially adapted for families with children.

Slightly greater challenges are encountered by hiking to Gaustatoppen. It can be a great feeling of mastery to have climbed one of southern Norway's highest peaks. Inside Gaustatoppen there is a "secret" lift, Gaustabanen. Not only is it exciting to travel with, but it also means that children only have to hike one way to the top.

The Gausta king himself lives in Gausta. He is most often seen in the winter at Gausta ski center. Maybe he shows up from his Kingdom during your visit?

Krossobanen was built in 1928 and was a gift from Norsk Hydro, so the townspeople could get up to see the sun during the winter.
