Gaustatun

About

Svingen Gaustatun consists of two cabins and an annex and is located in Gausta's beautiful mountain scenery close to 1000 m.h. and by the foot of Gaustatoppen.

The cabins have been named after Norwegian folk tales; Grimsborken, Vestavind and Velse-Åse, and has immediate access to Gausta Ski Center's many ski slopes with "ski in and out". Rjukan town is only a 15-minute drive away, where you will find shops, cafes, swimming complex and world-renowned attractions such as Vemork, the Sun Mirror and the Krossobanen cable car.

Grimsborken is a large cabin with 14 beds. With an internal garage and plenty of space for skis, bikes and other equipment. This is a user-friendly cabin for the active and adventurous. The cabin has a large living room with the possibility of housing up to 24 people. Two bathrooms where a bathroom has a sauna. Grimsborken is a modern mountain cabin with large windows that allow you to enjoy Gausta's "wild" nature and the view inside and out.

Vestavind is an exciting cabin that is situated in the wild nature with 14 beds spread over five bedrooms and a loft, two bathrooms and a sauna. Here there is the possibility of having 16-18 people around the table, in an open common area with kitchen, dining room and living room in one. With interior and spacious garage this is also a very user friendly cabin.

Vesle-Åse is the annex which has up to 6 beds in the loft, with open kitchen and bathroom. Vesle-Åse has large windows and high ceilings that give a good room feel. Perfect for smaller groups who want to enjoy Gausta's great amenities.

There are possibilities to rent the whole yard with the three cabins where you then have access to 10 separate bedrooms and Vesle-Åse can be set up as meeting room.
