Rjukan Fjellstue - where history meets nature.

Rjukan mountain lodge is located at about 840 masl. With a location right at the southern end of the Hardangervidda, the mountain lodge is a good starting point for trips both summer and winter. You can be active through walks, cycling, skiing or on snowshoes. If you want to immerse yourself in the heavy water operation and military history, Rjukan mountain lodge has its own mini exhibition as well as its own guide you can book for guiding and lectures. In the yard in front of the old storage cage, you can dream back to previous centuries and get a respite from everyday life.

Rooms and Cabins
Rjukan Fjellstue has 42 rooms, in addition to 2 cabins intended for self-catering, with a total of 100 beds. Several of the rooms are newly renovated in 2021 with frame mattresses and the rooms are intended for 2-4 people. Some rooms have their own WC, while others share a toilet and shower in the common areas. The cabins have their own WC and shower.

Throughout the season, breakfast is included when booking a room.

Guidet tour at the saboteur trail
Throughout the summer season, there will be a guided tour from Rjukan Fjellstue once a week, pre-registration for Rjukan Fjellstue. In the yard of Rjukan Fjellstue is the saboteur cabin that was used as a backdrop during the filming of the TV series "Kampen om tungtvannet".

Groups
Rjukan Fjellstue is well suited for groups of all ages, both school classes, high school, folk high school and other universities / colleges, military and pensioners. The hosts at Rjukan Fjellstue are more than happy make you an offer and a program, and also offer food on request and you can make resevations for weddings, anniversary parties, confirmation parties and more.

Facilities
Meeting room with seats for 50 and a hunting lodge, - perfect for smaller private gatherings.

Opening hours
The doors open June 24 - August 28. Then there will be opportunities for accommodation with breakfast. It will be open for dinner from 1500-1900 every day, except Mondays in the period 1 July to 14 August. Feel free to call in advance.
