About

Guided tour and overnight stay at "Sabotørhytta", which is a copy of the cabin that the saboteurs used the night before they bombed the heavy water factory at Vemork.

You will be picked up by a minibus at the parking lot by the Vemork Bridge. You can park your car here, since this is the place you are ending up after walking the saboteur trail.

You will be driven to Rjukan Fjellstue, where the tour starts.

The guide tells you the exciting story about the heavy water war, and the brave saboteurs that preventet the germans du make an atomic bomb.

He guides you all the way to the famous cabin.

The cabin is built on the bricks after the original cabin that the saboteurs used during WWII. The guide will return, and you will be at the cabin on your own, and the next day you continue on the Saboteur trail until you reach your car at Vemork.

The cabin is furnished as it was in 1942 and thus is a relatively simple standard. There are 4 bunk beds of 120 cm. Sleeping bag must be brought. Mattresses and pillows are found in the bunks.

You cook on the primus or on the wood stove, just like the saboteurs.

To order, contact Gunnar Tveito on tel. + 47 99614622 or email: g-tveito@online.no

A tour at the museum, Vemork, can be done before or after the tour.
