Enjoy the summer and sunny weather at one of the swimming spots in the Rjukan area! Enjoy one of the beaches or take a refreshing bath in clear mountain water. 

The lake Tinnsjøen is the largest lake in Tinn and popular for swimmers. At Sandviken Camping in Tinn Austbygd, you can find a beautiful beach which is used by both locals, guests of the camping site and day visitors. If you prefer to swim in warmer water, we recommend going to Sandvatn in Hovin. In the north end of the lake you can find one of the finest sandy beaches in the area. In Atrå, you can find Røyslandsbergo, which offers a unique and gorgeous swimming spot with potholes and natural slides in the rock. Furthermore there are many gorgeous spots along the rivers Tessungdalåe and Austbygdåe, or at one of the many small lakes in the mountains. In the middle of a neighbourhood in Rjukan, you will find Tveitotjernet surrounded by green areas as well as a playground. If you prefer swimming pools, you will find Rjukanbadet to be the perfect place.
