Route Highlights and Stages
1. From Blefjell Camping to Bjørvasselva (1 km)
The tour begins at Blefjell Camping, a natural hub for outdoor recreation. This first stretch is flat and very easy to ride. You will soon reach Bjørvasselva, a river with a fascinating history as an old log-driving waterway used for timber transport in decades past.
2. Along the Shore to Mogstul Beach (1.9 km)
This stage takes you along the eastern side of Lake Sandvatn.
Swimming: Mid-way, you will pass Mogstul, widely considered the most beautiful sandy beach in the Tinn region. It is a perfect spot for a refreshing swim or a picnic.
Terrain: While the start is easy, the terrain becomes slightly more challenging toward the end of this stage with some gentle inclines as you approach Sagbekken.
3. The Final Stretch to Mælebru Bridge (2 km)
The final part of the loop returns to easy, level terrain. The architectural highlight of the trip is Mælebru, a stunning historic stone arch bridge built in 1896. This serves as a picturesque finish line for your ride.
